Last summer I began recording what would be my fifth full length release in 15 years. As usual, there have been points where I have listened to tracks and gotten chills it has sounded so good, and other times where I have considered tossing the whole thing in the garbage. Often I have questioned why do I even do this at all? Who cares about these songs besides me and a few close friends and family members? I usually come back to the same anwer. I write songs and make albums because I have to. For whatever reason, I don't have a choice. This is what I do, it's what I've always done and I have this other sense that it's not really up to me anyways. There is a greater purpose for these songs that not even I am aware of and may never be. We all have a job that only we can do. It is a gift to know what that job is and it is our responsibility to do that job well, regardless of the reward. I did my job. I made this album called "A High Wave". Right now I love it and think it represents my best work yet. Billy Masters is one of the best musicians and producers around and I was super blessed to have him all over this record. Same goes for Blake Angelos, Julian MacDonough, and Mark Williams. A lot of the songs are about living life with purpose and passion, up till the very last minute. My songs teach me lessons and maybe that's the most important and most beautiful thing of all...by following our heart, we are led to experiences that teach us the most and while often painful in the process, ultimately bring us to our greatest joy. I hope these songs bring you joy, and inspire you as you travel your own journey. I'll be touring Europe and the U.S. off and on over the next year so hope to cross paths. Thank you!!
